Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella Remains Bullish On OpenAI: Emily Chang Video Interview

Kevin O'Keefe

Incredible interview of Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella by Emily Chang of Bloomberg. What a crazy story hearing that Satya had no inclination there was a rift between Sam and the OpenAI board – and to this day he has not talked to anyone on the board as to why they fired Sam. Yet Satya is happy to support Sam’s return to OpenAI, if that’s what comes of things – so long as there is a change in governance allowing Microsoft to protect itself.

Kevin O'Keefe

I asked Lou , LexBlog’s AI powered publishing assistant, how it would explain to a kindergarten class why lawyers blog. To which Lou responded. Imagine you have a big, difficult puzzle to solve, but you’re not sure how to do it. Lawyers are like helpers who know a lot about a special set of rules called ‘laws’ that everyone must follow. They write blogs, which are like online diaries or storybooks, to share what they know about these rules.

Facebook’s LLaMa Defeats Copyright Claims–Kadrey v. Meta

Eric Goldman

This is another preliminary ruling in the copyright battle over generative AI. The stakes of this battle couldn’t be higher. Copyright law has the capacity to nix the entire generative AI category.
