Today at ILTACON in Orlando, the e-discovery company Relativity announced the launch of Relativity Contracts , a tool for contract analysis and due diligence review integrated within RelativityOne, the company’s cloud platform. “Relativity Contracts allows users to glean actionable insights when analyzing agreements to meet changing regulatory requirements, realize business value and reduce legal risk,” the company said in its announcement.

Yesterday, I reported here on the acquisition by global e-discovery company Reveal of two other leading e-discovery companies, Logikcull and IPRO , in a deal valued at more than $1 billion. Today, some of the employees of those acquired companies began receiving layoff notices. A Reveal spokesperson declined to provide the number of employees impacted, but said that the majority of both companies’ employees are staying on.

LawCatch, Inc., developer of the BriefCatch legal editing software, has raised $3.5 million in an oversubscribed seed round. Lead investor in the round is TIA Ventures , which will take a seat on the LawCatch board. Other participants included RiverPark Ventures, C2 Ventures, and Wilson Sonsini Investments Co. BriefCatch founder Ross Guberman said that the company will use the investment to: Launch a suite of related products.
