Here Are the Winners of ABA Techshow’s 8th Annual Startup Alley Pitch Competition

This week brought the eighth annual Startup Alley pitch competition, the opening night event of ABA Techshow at which 15 startups competed for top honors by delivering their pitches live to an audience of Techshow attendees. Now on my way home from Techshow, I finally have a chance to post the winners. Here were the companies that won the top three spots: AltFee , a product that helps law firms replace the billable hour with fixed-fee pricing.

This is a Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) case against a media website, so you have good reason to wonder about the legitimacy and sincerity of the case. The named plaintiff created a WSBTV account by opting to log in using Facebook. That choice led the plaintiff to this screen: If plaintiff had clicked on the “Terms” link at the bottom right, it would have led to CMG’s “Visitor Agreement” that included an arbitration clause.

The Florida Bar Issues Ethical Guidelines on Generative AI

ROBERT B. HUBBELL Judge Arthur Engoron released his Decision and Order in the civil fraud trial against Trump, his family members, and business organizations. The decision imposed penalties of $354.8 million plus interest against Trump and family members, plus interest. After interest, Trump owes $ 454 million to the State of New York. Trump is also prohibited from conducting business in New York for three years and borrowing from New York-chartered banks.
