Large Law Firms Accelerate AI Publishing: A Boon for Society

Kevin O'Keefe

Large law firms have accelerated their AI publishing, something that I see as a boon for society. I am personally working on a project to aggregate law firm AI legal insight and commentary so that the information may be easily found, searched and subscribed to. Right now, valuable insight and information on AI – though there is a ton of it – is difficult to find, and that’s being generous.

It offered to buy them out of up to six months of their contracts with competing practice management platforms if they switched to Clio’s platform. Now Clio is reviving that offer, which it calls its Break Free Program , targeting what it describes as outdated systems and “the shackles of long-term contracts.” “From now until April 30, 2024, law f

Print-on-Demand Services Face More Legal Woes–Canvasfish v. Pixels

Eric Goldman

In the ongoing legal battles over print-on-demand services, RedBubble and (more recently) Printify have sometimes achieved favorable results by disaggregating all of the functions and acting solely as a marketing agent for the disaggregated vendors. These defense-favorable outcomes may work in the short term; but they leave open the potential liability of the contracting vendors (which may drive them out of the industry, leaving the marketing agent with no one to outsource to) and as well as the

NYC LegalWeek

Xakia

LegalWeek… a world unto itself. No matter how much I try to prepare myself mentally, it’s never enough. Combining the hustle and bustle of mid-town New York with the first major legal event of the year makes for a legal conference on steroids. I’m late to the party in putting pen to paper, but I felt like I had to digest the on-the-ground experience alongside the (sometimes) quieter discussions after the event.

Despite All the Hype Over CLM Software, Most Companies Don’t Use It to Manage their Contracts, Survey Finds

LawSites

One of the most talked-about legal technologies of the last few years is contract lifecycle management software. But a survey released today finds that the majority of companies do not use CLM software at all, and of those that do have a dedicated CLM system, most use it only on a limited basis. Instead of CLM systems, most companies are using document management systems to store and manage their contracts — systems such as SharePoint, Google Drive, local drives, or commercial DMS products.
