As I survey the legal profession broadly, and the world of legaltech and innovation specifically, I see uncertainty and inertia. It is as if we are serving time in a legaltech limbo. After all, it was a good year for the legaltech industry. Overall, the legaltech industry saw unprecedented growth.
This week on The Geek in Review podcast Marlene Gebauer and Greg Lambert featured guests Colin Levy , Ashley Carlisle , and Dorna Moini discussing Levy’s recently published book “ Handbook of LegalTech.” Levy edited the book and contributors included Moini, Carlisle’s CEO, Tony Thai, and many more legal technology experts.
Clio also introduced new features designed specifically for legal aid organizations, Clio for Legal Aid, that will offer discounted subscription plans and include tools to help them create and manage grants and funding sources, report on grant deliverables, calculate intake eligibility, and use grant-funded or sliding-scale billing functionality.
